- Office multifunction printer: The Canon imageCLASS MF461dw II combines wireless monochrome laser printing, copying and colour scanning.
- Print performance: The product title states 40ppm, while the detailed specifications list up to 36ppm on A4 and 37ppm on Letter. Automatic duplex printing reaches up to 30ipm on A4 and 31ipm on Letter, with a first print out time of approximately 5 seconds.

- Single-pass document feeder: The 50-sheet duplex DADF scans both sides in one pass, with A4 duplex scanning speeds up to 100ipm in monochrome and 80ipm in colour.
- Scan destinations: Send scans to a PC, email, SMB, FTP, cloud or USB drive.
- Paper capacity: Standard 350-sheet input includes a 250-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multipurpose tray. Capacity expands to 900 sheets with an optional 550-sheet feeder. The output tray holds 150 sheets.
- Media support: Accepts media weights of 60–120 g/m² through the cassette and 60–199 g/m² through the multipurpose tray.
- Connectivity and mobile printing: Gigabit Ethernet, High-Speed USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. Supports the Canon PRINT app, Apple AirPrint, Mopria and Microsoft Universal Print.
- Network protection: Includes TLS 1.3, IP/MAC address filtering, HTTPS, SNMPv3, IEEE 802.1X, IPsec and Verify System at Startup.
- Touchscreen controls: A 5-inch colour LCD touchscreen with a vari-angle mechanism provides adjustable viewing.
- Memory and storage: Equipped with 1 GB RAM and 2 GB eMMC storage.
- Monthly workload: Recommended monthly print volume is 750–4000 pages, with a maximum monthly duty cycle up to 80,000 pages.
